Zusammenfassung:	A protective cover is especially for use for emergency telephone posts, in which a compensation microphone is used to elminiate environmental noise so far as possible. This action would be defeated by a normal type of enclosure not allowing sound to reach the microphone equally from both sides. The cover is made in a water-repellant material, preferably tetrafluorethylene, to reduce adverse weather effects, with a closed upper wall (2) and sides and base (3, 4) with line for the admission of sound. The inner wall may be lined with sound absorbent material (7).
