Zusammenfassung:	In the rapid drying of cellulose pulp with improved heat utilisation and improved convective heat transfer, in which the cellulose pulp is supplied in bulk form e.g. flakes, in a drying unit under reduced pressure, together with the simultaneous addn. of a carrier gas in the form of superheated steam under pressure, the flakes being then sepd. under steam and supplied as dry prod. at low pressure or to additional drying stages, the further improvement whereby the pressure of the carrier gas is at least 0.12-0.15 MPa and the drying unit is heated indirectly with steam, the satn. pressure being above that of the carrier gas, pref. >=0.2-0.4 MPa. Provides a thermally more efficient drying process.
