1276504 Spray producers DUNLOP HOLDINGS Ltd 10 Sept 1969 [12 Sept 1968] 43368/68 Heading B2F An adhesive applicator gun comprises a body 1 having an inlet 12 for adhesive under pressure, and an outlet valve 10 mounted within the body for controlling the flow of adhesive and controlled from exterior of the body by a flexible portion 8 of the body wall whereby the valve is opened when the flexible portion is distorted away from the body wall. The gun may be operated by trigger 3 acting on ball 7 housed in plate 14 by which the flexible portion 8 is secured in the body wall, and by crank 4 and push rod 5 to unseat ball 10 against the pressure of spring 11. The push rod may have a T-passage with opening 16 and 17, and may move in sealing plug 6 which provides the valve seat. The flexible portion may be of nylon, the body of aluminium, the plate of mild steel and the plug of polytetrafluoroethylene.
