The construction permits the container to be filled entirely with the liquid whilst allowing opening of the container without spillage since the liquid level drops as the bottom flexes outwardly on opening. The container body may be made of plastics, expanded plastics, paper, plastics-coated paper or metal, the bottom being of more flexible or of thinner material than that of the container body. The bottom may be folded concertina fashion.
