Zusammenfassung: | 1,212,577. Gramophone with stationary record. M. I. GLASS, [trading as MARVIN GLASS & ASSOCIATES]. 30 July, 1968 [22 Sept., 1967], No. 36271/68. Heading G5R. [Also in Division A6] Information relating to the subject of a circular jigsaw puzzle and recorded in grooves in a marginal portion of the puzzle frame is played back by manually rotating an arm 20 which is pivoted 32 at one end at the centre of the puzzle frame and carries sound reproducing means 21 which engages the stationary record at its other end. The sound reproducing means 21 comprises a pick-up stylus 56 mounted at the apex of a diaphragm 48 which is supported on a frame 46 pivotally mounted at 42 in a housing 40. The stylus projects through a slotted opening in the base of the housing of sufficient length to allow the stylus to track across the width of the record and the centre of gravity of the frame 46 is offset from the pivot axis so that on lifting the housing the stylus is biased to the inner end of the slot adjacent the starting groove of the record. The record is played from the inside groove outwardly and during play the housing 40 slides on the walls 24, 30 defining the recorded marginal portion of the puzzle frame. |
