Zusammenfassung: | The invention comprises compositions of halogen-containing polymers wherein the halogen is attached directly to the polymer chain containing as stabilizer (a) at least one carboxylic acid containing a thioacetal or thioketal group, together with a diorgano-tri oxide or sulphide, and/or (b) at least one diorganotri salt of such an acid. Polymers specified are chlorinated polyethylenes, polyvinyl chloride, polyvinylidene chloride, polyvinyl bromide, polyvinyl fluoride, and copolymers of vinyl chloride with vinyl acetate, vinyl acetate and maleic anhydride, vinyl p-propionate, vinyl butyrate, vinyl benzoate, #j-vinylidene chloride, diethyl fumarate, diethylmaleate, other alkyl fumarates and maleates, methyl acrylate 2-ethylhexyl acrylate, butyl acrylate, other alkyl acrylates, methyl methacrylate, ethyl methacrylate, butyl methacrylate, other alkyl methacrylates, methyl-a -chloroacrylate, styrene, trichloroethylene, vinyl ethers, e.g. vinyl ethyl ether, vinyl chloroethyl ether and vinyl phenyl ether, vinyl ketones, e.g. vinyl methyl ketone and vinyl phenyl ketone, 1-fluoro-1-chloroethylene, acrylonitrile, chloroacrylonitrile, allylidene diacetate and chloroallylidene diacetate.
