Zusammenfassung: | A detergent composition comprises a mixture of alkylbenzenesulphonates [e.g. of Li, Na, K, NH3, Ca, Mg, NH2C2H4OH or N(C2 H4OH)3] in which the alkylbenzene portion has an average mol. wt. 250-270, the alkyl groups are linear and contain at least 85% C12- 14 and at least 10% each C12, C13 and C14 chains, the sulphonates having at least 37% 5-(or higher) phenylalkanes and at most 27% 2-phenylalkanes. Other ingredients specified are Na2SO4, Na2CO3, K2CO3, Na4P2O7, Na3PO4, Na5P3O10, K5\P3O10, (NaPO3)6, Na- and K-silicates (e.g. Na2O + 1-3 SiO2), Nacarboxymethylcellulose, persulphates, perborates, percarbonates, lauric or coconut diethanolamide, monoethanolamide, isopropanolamide and their oxyethylated derivatives, lauryl and cetyl alcohols, dodecyldimethylamine oxide, Na- and K-xylene- and toluene-sulphonates, C8- 20 alkyl sulphates and sulphonates, sulphated alkylphenol- and alkanol-ethylene oxide condensates, polyethylene glycol ethers and esters, polyvinyl alcohol, Na salt of 85:15 tallow-coconut fatty acids, silica, trichlorocyanuric acid, chlorinated Na3PO4 and oxalic acid. A suitable starting material is an unbranched C11- 15 paraffin mixture, containing 34% C12, 43% C13 and 17% C14, prepared by selective absorption on molecular sieves of kerosene, followed by fractionation of the desorbed linear hydrocarbon. The product is monohalogenated and reacted with benzene (+ AlCl/HCl). The undesired 2-phenylalkane is separated by distillation from the desired 5-(or higher)phenylalkane and recycled to the alkylation reactor. The alkylation of benzene with alphaolefins having at least 85% C12- 14 chains, in presence of HF, is also mentioned.ALSO:The invention comprises a mixture of alkyl-benzenesulphonates [e.g. of Li, Na, K, NH3, Ca, Mg, NH2C2H4OH or N(C2H4OH)3] i which the alkylbenzene portion has an average mol. wt. 250-270, the alkyl groups are linear and contain at least 85% C12- 14 and at least 10% each C12, C13 and C14 chains, the sulphonates having at least 37% 5 (or higher)-phenylalkanes and at most 27% 2-phenylalkanes. The alkylbenzene having the specified properties is sulphonated by a standard procedure. A suitable starting material is an unbranched C11- 15 paraffin mixture containing 34% C12, 43% C13 and 17% C14, which is monohalogenated by reaction with one third mol. Cl2 to give internally chlorinated hydrocarbons. |
