A MARINE STEERING SYSTEM

The present disclosure relates to a marine steering system for a marine vessel having a hull, comprising a drive unit having one or more propellers, the drive unit is moveable in a vertical direction between a first unit position wherein the drive unit is outside the hull and a second unit position wherein the drive unit is inside the hull, and a rudder, the rudder is movable in a substantially vertical direction between a first rudder position wherein the rudder is outside the hull and a second rudder position wherein the rudder is inside the hull, wherein the drive unit and rudder are configured to be moved independently or dependently of each other in the vertical direction, wherein the drive unit and/or the rudder is configured to steer the marine vessel independently of each other.
