Zusammenfassung:	An object of the present invention is to provide iron ore pellets which have a characteristic of enabling a further decrease in coke consumption, in a blast furnace operation. Iron ore pellets according to one aspect of the present invention are for use in a blast furnace operation, wherein a porosity of the iron ore pellets which results from large open pores having a pore size of greater than or equal to 4 μm is greater than or equal to 21%, and the iron ore pellets have a crushing strength of greater than or equal to 180 kg/P.
