Method and control arrangement for determining a route of a vehicle

The present disclosure relates to route planning. More specifically the disclosure relates to a method and a control arrangement for determining a route of a vehicle. According to a first aspect, the disclosure relates to a method for determining a route of a vehicle. The method comprises obtaining S1 map data indicative of road segments connecting a starting point and a destination and corresponding road restrictions. The method further comprises determining S2, based on a current load of the vehicle, alternative axle load distributions that can be achieved by the axle load distribution mechanism for the vehicle to meet different road restrictions. The method finally comprises determining S3, based on the obtained map data and the determined alternative axle load distributions, one or more possible routes between the starting point and the destination that the vehicle is able to drive. The disclosure also relates to a computer program, to a computer-readable medium and to a vehicle.
