WELDING SLEEVE FOR ARMOURED POWER CABLES

There is provided a welding sleeve (100) for armoured power cables having a central longitudinal axis (101), wherein the welding sleeve (100) is arranged to receive an armoured power cable, and wherein the welding sleeve (100) comprises a first perimeter surface (102) and a second perimeter surface (103) for welding armour wires (110) of an armoured power cable (108) thereto, a first compartment (104) arranged between the first and second perimeter surfaces (102, 103), a first channel (105) extending in an axial direction from the first perimeter surface (102) to the first compartment (104), a second channel (106) extending in an axial direction from the second perimeter surface (103) to the first compartment (105), and wherein, the first (105) and second (106) channels are adapted for receiving of a fiber optical cable, FOC, the first channel (105) running from the first perimeter surface (102) into the first compartment (104) and the second channel (106) running from the first compartment to the second perimeter surface (103).There is also provided a welding sleeve (100') as well as an armoured power cable comprising the sleeve (100; 100').
