Masthead device for a sailing vessel

The present invention relates to a masthead device for a sailing vessel. The masthead device comprises a relative wind indicator arranged on top of a VHF antenna. The relative wind indicator is a mechanical wind vane (1) configured to indicate a relative velocity of the wind for the sailing vessel, the mechanical wind vane comprising a vane unit (2) with a bearing (3) mounted on a shaft (4) with an index arm (6a, 6b) fitting. The VHF antenna (8) is elongated and comprises a lower end (9) for connection to a masthead of the sailing vessel and an upper portion for connection to the shaft of the relative wind indicator through a connection fitting (7), and the VHF antenna has equal thickness or is smaller than the connection fitting, such that the relative wind indicator during use is in undisturbed wind.
