Zusammenfassung:	The present invention concerns a connecting piece (100) for sealingly connecting two pipe sections (10, 20). The connecting piece (100) is designed with a sleeve portion (120) and a flange portion (110). The flange portion (110) is in turn designed with sealing elements (132, 134). In the mounted state, the ends (12, 22) of the pipe sections (10, 20) lie in abutment to the sealing elements (132, 134) of the flange portion (110), which both seal the connection but can also absorb forces associated with mutual movement between the pipe sections (10, 20).
