Zusammenfassung:	Provided is an outdoor unit of an air conditioner, wherein a defrost heater placed on an outdoor unit base can be reliably fixed at a predetermined position by absorbing a dimension tolerance and by a constant force, and a desired antifreezing function can be attained. In the outdoor unit of an air conditioner, a defrost heater (15) which prevents drain water from freezing is placed on an outdoor unit base (2), and the defrost heater (15) is secured to the bottom surface of the outdoor unit base (2) via a bracket (25). The bracket (25) is provided with an arm-shaped retaining portion, one end of which retains the defrost heater (15) and is a free end. The retaining portion can be bent so as to absorb the dimension tolerances of the outdoor unit base (2) and the defrost heater (15) and to retain the defrost heater (15).
