Zusammenfassung: | FIELD: detection.SUBSTANCE: area of application: invention relates to the area of object detection using a radio frequency (RF) sensor. Substance: proposed are a method of detection of a low-profile object using an RF sensor and an RF sensor. The RF sensor is intended to implement the method of detection of a low-profile object. The RF sensor is comprised of at least one radar and processor. Each radar comprises a transmitter and a receiver, wherein the transmitter is configured to emit broadband RF signals and the receiver is configured to receive RF signals reflected from an object. The processor is configured to perform the following operations: generating a set of reflected RF signals containing a predetermined number of reflected RF signals, digitizing the set of reflected RF signals, determining the speed of the apparatus whereon the RF sensor is installed and calculating the cutoff frequency for the low-pass filter using the determined speed, generating a combined signal from the set of digitized RF signals, wherein the combined signal constitutes a matrix consisting of a set of digitized RF signals wherein each column of the matrix constitutes a sequence of records of a digitized RF signal, the first row of the matrix contains the first record of each digitized RF signal from the set and the digitized RF signals in the matrix are arranged in the order of reception, removing background noise and contribution to the signal of an object below the surface whereon said apparatus is moving, through line by line filtering of the combined signal with a low frequency filter with a calculated cutoff frequency, wherein filtering is applied separately to each row of said matrix, generating the resulting signal from the filtered combined signal by summing the records in each row of the matrix of the filtered combined signal, calculating total energy of the resulting signal by summing the records thereof, detecting the object by comparing the total energy with a predetermined threshold value, wherein the object is detected if the total energy exceeds the predetermined threshold value, excluding the RF signal received earlier than others in said set from said set, and including in said set the RF signal received immediately after the RF signal received last in said set, and repeating the described operations.EFFECT: ensured detection of a low-profile object and elimination of false detections of objects caused by background noise and presence of latent objects.10 |
