Method of developing a reservoir of high-viscosity oil with water-saturated zones includes the construction of horizontal production and higher injection wells with the installation of casing strings with filter parts in the corresponding horizontal sections, heating the reservoir by injection into both wells of a hot working agent with a specific weight below the specific gravity of the reservoir water, conducting studies to determine water-saturated zones adjacent to the production well, after which, in the casing string adjacent to the water-saturated zones of this well, the successive overlapping of these zones by filling from the bottom to the mouth with a water-insulating composition, which is destroyed under external influence, with subsequent technological aging, injection of a displacement agent into the injection well and withdrawal of products from the production well. As a working agent steam with the temperature of at least 180 °C is used. Determination of water-saturated zones is carried out in both wells by geophysical studies in two stages, the first of which is electrical and/or radioactive - before the start of steam injection, and the second - thermometric - after the formation is heated up before production begins. Water-saturated zones are cut off in both wells by passing packers at a distance of 1/5-4/5 of the length of the filter part of the horizontal section of the respective wells from the mouth and are filled from the bottom to the packer with a water insulating composition in the form of a heat-resistant, acid-destructive composition with a pressure greater than the reservoir pressure, followed by suppressing the packers. Next, the injection well is started for the steam injection, and the production well - for the selection of products. After establishing a stable thermohydrodynamic connection between the wells, characterized by increase in the temperature of the produced fluid, as well as increase in the thermogram along the wellbore of the production well, the packers are drilled, and the water insulating compounds are destroyed by acid. Wells then continue to operate as before.EFFECT: exclusion of non-productive operation and heating of water-saturated zones of the reservoir, creating a local hydrodynamic connection between the wells and expanding it along the horizontal bores of twin wells, higher efficiency of submersible borehole pumps
