For this purpose, it is ensured that a sequence of pulses is formed on the basis of the output signal of rotation of the laser gyroscope, which follow one another at intervals, equal to the period of the output signal, counting the number of pulses of the output signal of rotation of the laser gyroscope on each half-cycle of switching the frequency base, determination of the sign of the frequency difference of counterpropagating waves and determining the start time of each half-period. Time intervals are measured between the first and last pulse on each half-cycle of switching the frequency stand, and also the number of pulses during these time intervals is counted and the angular velocity is determined according to the formula: Ω=(N/t+N/t)/2K, where Ω - average angular velocity; tand t- time intervals between the first and last pulses in the half-period with the positive and negative sign of the frequency support, respectively; Nand N- the number of pulses calculated at time intervals tand trespectively, with a sign of the frequency difference of counterpropagating waves; K is the scale factor of the laser gyroscope.
