Device includes a barrel with a hook for a reciprocal sample of a wedge-deflector connected to a string of pipes. Hook is made in the form of a segment of a pipe made to interact with the rotation of the pipe string around the axis with the selection of a wedge-deflector in the form of a cylindrical groove on its rear side. Barrel is made of assembled from the outer and inner parts, co-axially inserted into each other with the possibility of limited axial extension with the overcoming of the force of the spring, located between them. For synchronous rotation of the barrel parts when the hook is inserted into the sample of the wedge-deflector on the cooperating ends of the outer and inner parts of the trunk, one-sided inclined projections and the corresponding one-sided inclined slots, which are made to be disengaged when the trunk portions are expanded. Slope of the protrusions and grooves is formed so that, when the axial force of the spring and the weight of the pipe string interact, the outer part of the barrel with the hook disengages from the selection of the wedge-deflector.
