Micropowder is used as a catalyst or as intermediate for the preparation of the catalyst, preferably for the preparation of propylene oxide from propene with hydrogen peroxide as the oxidant in acetonitrile as solvent. Applicable moulded article as catalyst, preferably as a catalyst to obtain propylene oxide from propene with hydrogen peroxide as the oxidant in acetonitrile as the solvent in a continuous process in which the selectivity to propylene oxide, relative to hydrogen peroxide after the duration of 500 hours is at least 95%, preferably at least 96%.
