Zusammenfassung: | FIELD: chemistry. ^ SUBSTANCE: method involves determination of information-bearing parametres of the antiknock value of reference and analysed fuel on a real engine while bringing operation of the engine on these fuels to detonation mode, and the antiknock value of the test fuel is compared to the antiknock value of the reference fuel by comparing their information-bearing parametres of antiknock value, where the real engine used is a mobile laboratory gas engine. Information-bearing parametres of the antiknock value of the reference fuel are determined first, followed by those of the analysed fuel. The reference fuel used is gas-engine fuel with octane number equal to 105. The analysed fuel used is gas-engine fuel from a petrol filling station. The information-bearing parametres used are readings of a detonation level sensor. When operation of the engine on the reference and gas-engine fuel from a petrol filling station is brought to detonation mode, the mobile laboratory gas engine is warmed up while moving at a rate of 30-50 km/h. The engine is then switched to acceleration mode with maximum possible acceleration until achieving velocity of 80-100 km/h. Maximum readings of the detonation sensor in acceleration mode are taken during operation of the engine on reference and then on gas-engine fuel from a petrol filling station, after which the maximum readings of the detonation sensor during operation on both fuels are compared, and if maximum reading of the detonation sensor during operation of the engine on gas-engine fuel from a petrol filling station does not exceed the maximum reading of the detonation sensor during operation of the engine on reference fuel, then the octane number of the test gas-engine fuel from the petrol filling station is not lower than the standard of 105. ^ EFFECT: fast and highly reliable determination of antiknock value of gas-engine fuel from a petrol filling station through mobile laboratory analysis of the quality of gas-engine fuel.
