Zusammenfassung:FIELD: electrical engineering. ^ SUBSTANCE: invention relates to power transforming equipment and can be used for output voltage regulation in expanded range, along with current stabilisation and higher electromagnetic compatibility (EMC) in brightness regulators of airfield runway illumination. Proposed controller comprises the primary power transformation channel representing primary voltage transformer. Its primary winding is connected to inputs of the controller via a pair of the main thyristors with opposing-series connection. Its secondary winding serves to connect it to controller outputs. It comprises also the control system consisting of load current pickup, load current measuring circuit, comparator to compare load current to current stabilisation level shape output signal and main thyristor pulse-phase control unit. Proposed control differs from known designs in that it incorporates standby voltage transformer with its secondary winding and primary winding connected to controller power outputs. It features N additional power control channels, each being similar to the main control channel and incorporates additional voltage transformer, its primary winding being connected to controller power outputs via pair of additional thyristors connected back-to-back. It features also N+1 pairs of shunting thyristors with opposing-series connection, each pair being connected in parallel to one of pulse-phase control unit output and primaries of the main and N additional voltage transformers. Secondaries of the main, N additional and standby transformers are interconnected in series and connected to controller outputs. Aforesaid control system incorporates the load current zero-crossing pickup and logical unit distributing control pulses between the main, additional and shunting thyristors. Note that load current stabilisation level shaper incorporates switch-selected N+1 levels.
