At a mining face there is used solidifying foam of a lesser stability tau1 comparing to the stability tau2 of foam strips at a ventilation drift; also tau1 and tau2 are determined from mathematic expression f1= 2F/V- stability of foam strips at the mining face; f2=20F/V - stability of foam strips at the ventilation drift, where F is length of collapse zone of the main roof, m, V is rate of face advance, m/twenty-four hours. ^ EFFECT: increased protective characteristics of worked out space. ^ 2 dwg
