Zusammenfassung:FIELD: technological processes. ^ SUBSTANCE: reciprocal motion is imparted to billet, while rotary motion and traverse motion are imparted to deforming tool. Prior to processing, transverse displacement of deforming tool establishes processing interference. Deforming tool is used, which comprises disk with deforming elements arranged in the form of steel spring turns from circular section wire circled and installed with tension at disk peripheral part. Working part of spring turns is made according to shape of threaded groove of processed threaded surface, and fastening part of turns is arranged as rectilinear. Damping parts are available between working and fastening parts of turn. Disk peripheral surface intended for fastening of turns represents circle made of thin steel springy tape, installed on rubber bushing in hub and fixed by means of vulcanisation. ^ EFFECT: surface plastic deformation process technological resources are expanded, parameter of processed surface roughness is increased, its hardness is improved, efficiency increases, process prime cost is reduced. ^ 6 dwg, 1 ex, 1 tbl
