WINDOW TRANSOM CONTROL GEAR (VERSIONS)

FIELD: construction. ^ SUBSTANCE: group of inventions concerns locking devices particularly a transom opening and closing gear used in living and public buildings and structures. The inventions are aimed at achievement of reduced force applied to the control handle to create enough force for transom opening and closing together with simplified design and reliable transom securing in open position. The first version of the window transom control gear comprises a link and rod connected via a crank to the control handle. One end of the link has a slot where a roller is placed. The roller in installed on a pin fixed to the upper side of the transom. The other end of the link is hinged to the window frame support. A rocker arm hinge-linked to the rod is jointed to the frame. The rocker arm interacts with the link. The second version of the window transom control gear comprises a control handle connected via a control rod to double-arm lever arms. The levers are rigidly fixed to a shaft installed on the window frame and jointed via rods to idler arms hinged on the transom sides. ^ EFFECT: reduced force applied to the control handle to create enough force for transom opening and closing together with simplified design and reliable transom securing in open position. ^ 4 cl, 5 dwg
