In generation of calibrated functional connection, the engine thrust-to-total air pressure behind the high-pressure compressor is used as a function, the said air pressure being measured by the aircraft ACS, while the engine operating modes similarity parameter is used as an argument. In operating the engine on the ground, the total air pressure behind the compressor is measured, the similarity parameter Psim of the engine operating conditions is calculated and the engine thrust is calculated from the formula where P kmeas is the measured total air pressure behind the high-pressure compressor, and is the calculated value of ^ EFFECT: determination of TJBE thrust in flight using only those parameters that are measured and used in aircraft ACS without extra transducers. ^ 3 cl, 3 tbl
