METHOD FOR PRODUCTION OF GLASS MICROBEADS

FIELD: technological processes; chemistry. ^ SUBSTANCE: method for production of glass microbeads includes crushing of initial raw material, air classification of crushed glass into size groups, supply of produced glass powders in furnace, thermal moulding of glass microbeads, their cooling and classification. Classification of crushed glass and glass microbeads is done by at least two air flows, one of which bears crushed glass or glass microbeads, and the other isolates glass particles or glass microbeads from bearing flow with the largest mass and largest dimensions into collector-accumulator, by means of suction or jetting of air from environment into area of ceilings connection located in conic part of cyclone installations. Intensity of isolating flow is established according to parameters of isolated glass particles or glass microbeads. ^ EFFECT: higher output of high quality glass microbeads, lower power inputs and material cost. ^ 1 dwg
