Zusammenfassung:	FIELD: medicine. ^ SUBSTANCE: invention relates to medicine, particularly orthopedics, and can be applied to prevent heterotopic ossification (HO) development after endoprosthesis hip joint replacement. Method consists in C-reactive protein (CRP) and osteoprotegerine (OPG) levels determination in venous blood serum on 7th day after the operation. In case if one or both indices are equal or less than: CRP - 12 mg/l, OPG - 4.2 pmol/l, HO development possibility is predicted.
