Fiber is treated with water solution prior to garneting. Water solution is an enzymatic agent solution selected from xylanase, pectinase, cellulase and laccase group having 15-50 units/ml activity at the following weight ratio of enzyme solution: flax fiber 1:2. Period of treatment is 120-140 min with further drying of treated flax fiber with hot air. ^ EFFECT: improvement of flax fiber quality. ^ 1 tbl
