Zusammenfassung:FIELD: engines and pumps. ^ SUBSTANCE: invention relates to windmill structural elements, particularly, to the design of the blades and windmill hubs. The proposed windmill incorporates a hub and blades comprising spars and a skin, a crack formation indication system made up of a pickup arranged on the spar and an amplifying-recording device arranged inside the hub. The aforesaid pickup represents, at least, one spring-loaded wire that features a thermal elongation factor approximating to that of the spar, one end of the said wire being fastened at the spar end, the other end being connected to the aforesaid amplifying-recording device and the intermediate part of the said wire being made to slide on over the spar. Note also that the windmill can incorporate an automatic halt device connected to the said amplifying-recording device and representing a different-arm lever, its shorter arm interacting with the flange attached to the spring-loaded wire end while its longer arm interacts with the said automatic halt device. ^ EFFECT: timely indication of crack formation, prevention of blade destruction, higher reliability and longer life. ^ 3 cl, 5 dwg
