FIELD: instrument making. ^ SUBSTANCE: method incorporates fluorimetry of focused volume of air sample with the fluorescence excited, the aforesaid air sample focused volume is formed by a virtual impactor in the air sample major flow separated from optical elements and spectral fluorimeter furnished with a minor air flow without aerosol particles. The device made up of a radiation source and spectral fluorimeter furnished with the fluorescence spectral decomposition optical element incorporates a virtual impactor to generate, at its output, a coaxial major and a minor flow, enveloping the former, the impactor major flow input representing an air sampler and the impactor minor flow input communicating with air medium via a zero-drag filter designed to clear air of aerosol particles.
