Electric arc welding of external and internal spiral work seams is performed with flux layer. Weld penetration comprises 60-80% of the pipe wall thickness. Reinforcing bead height H does not exceed the value of H=0.8deltaK, mm, where delta is the pipe wall thickness in mm; K is an index within the range of 0.45-0.20 in inverse ratio to the pipe wall thickness. ^ EFFECT: improved internal seam form due to optimised seam weld penetration and reinforcing bead height. |
