ARTIFICIAL FOOT (VERSIONS)

FIELD: medical equipment. ^ SUBSTANCE: artificial foot contains elastic cosmetic cover, adapter and insert. Insert has anterior support surface for adapter with part of elastic cosmetic cover, posterior support surface for adapter with part of elastic cosmetic cover, and aperture for fastening threaded rod. Rod is furnished with nut-formed support and connected to adapter by means of axis. Parts of elastic cosmetic cover on anterior and posterior adapter surfaces are shock-absorbing pads. Nut design provides interworking with elastic element shaped by foot arch, placed on insert plantar surface. Console part of elastic element is designed with slant oriented from insert to console part centre or end and having overall height not less than twice exceeding thickness of elastic element. Second version of design implies that foot is additionally provided with posterior shock-absorber mounted on back nest of posterior support surface for adapter. Anterior and posterior shock-absorbers are designed as replaceable elastic buffers hardness of which are selected according to weight and to physical possibilities of disabled person. ^ EFFECT: optimum interworking of artificial foot design with movement surface and with replaced limb of disabled person. ^ 10 cl, 2 dwg
