Zusammenfassung: | FIELD: medicine; oncology; molecular biology. ^ SUBSTANCE: to diagnose non-small cell lung carcinoma potentially cancer-affected human tissue and adjacent histologically normal tissue are tested for gene WIF1 transcription level. Lowered transcription level detected in potentially cancer-affected human tissue compared to that of adjacent histologically normal tissue is diagnostic indicator of non-small cell lung carcinoma.
