FIELD: food industry. ^ SUBSTANCE: invention relates to the filtering devices for water treatment, mostly for removal bacteria and viruses. The water filtering device for water treatment contains the connector to provide the liquid connection between the water filter and the untreated drinking water source. The device contains the low pressure water filter which has the water-filtering material containing the mesoporous activated filtering carbon particles. The water filter has the filter bacteria logarithmic removal (F-BLR) more than approximately 2 log and the filter virus logarithmic removal (F-VLR) more than approximately 1 log. The device contains the storage case which has the liquid connection with the low pressure water filter. The device also has the automatic gate-type valve to stop the flaw of the treated drinking water in the storage case. The device has the dosing unit for dispensing the treated drinking water from the storage case. The treated drinking water can flow to the storage case at rate of at least 5 ml/min, unless the automatic gate-type valve is activated so as to stop the flaw of the treated drinking water in the storage case. ^ EFFECT: effective water cleaning off microbiologic contaminations without using electric devices. ^ 44 cl, 10 dwg
