HEAVY ARMOURED PERSONNEL CARRIER MOUNTED ON TANK BASE CHASSIS

FIELD: armoured fighting vehicles. ^ SUBSTANCE: aarmoured bulkhead is extended until it intersects the plane of a top nose sheet and is connected to the later by means of a front inclined wall, provided with a built-in dynamic protection with resistance to armour-piercing projectiles of up to 40 mm calibre at the level of resistance of the hull broads. The angle of the inclined wall is 30°/55°. The inner height of the boards with the bulkhead is 1.26/1.37 of the inner height of the base chassis hull. A commander's seat and a driver mechanic's seat are mounted in the front portion of the living compartment instead of nose fuel reservoirs of the base chassis whereby the machine's centre line is shifted to the boards. The fuel supply is compensated by placing additional fuel reservoirs into armoured compartments formed in the sidewall framework of the extended portion of the bulkhead. ^ EFFECT: invention allows accommodating in the living compartment a landing party corresponding to one motorised rifle section with standard armament. ^ 5 cl, 6 dwg
