Zusammenfassung:	FIELD: metallurgy, possibly improvement of properties of gray iron castings. ^ SUBSTANCE: method providing decreased volume content of graphite, disintegration of graphite impurities and their uniform distribution along cross section of castings comprises steps of heating and cooling gray cast iron in each cycle while cast iron is heated in each cycle till 980 - 1020°C and further it is cooled in water.
