Zusammenfassung:FIELD: high-power microwave oscillators for generating electromagnetic waves. ^ SUBSTANCE: proposed microwave oscillator built around virtual cathode has evacuated system incorporating case that accommodates cathode and anode grid which are connected to peripheral power supply and form diode space followed by virtual cathode forming section with radiation output means. Diode space in front of anode grid followed by virtual cathode forming section accommodates hollow dielectric insert that contacts anode grid.
