FIELD: optical instruments. ^ SUBSTANCE: microscope comprises illuminator connected with a power source, prism, microscopic stage connected with a drive, lens, semitransparent plate, and ocular mounted along the optical axis and receiving system, storage unit, and video control device connected in series. The drive of the microscopic stage is discrete-variable. The illuminator is provided with a pulse power source. The microscope is additionally provided with the unit for extracting image characteristics. The unit for forming image, control unit, and unit for synchronizing the frequency of operations of the receiving system with a step of the discrete-variable drive and a period for which the pulse power source comes into action. The unit for extracting the characteristics of image is connected with the receiving system and storage unit which is connected in series with the unit for forming image, video control device and control unit whose first output is connected with the video control unit, second output is connected with the storage unit and unit for forming image, third output is connected with the unit for extracting the characteristics of image, and fourth output is connected with the synchronization unit. ^ EFFECT: expanded functional capabilities. ^ 1 dwg
