DEVICE FOR MEASURING LINEAR DIMENSIONS OF WHEELSETS

FIELD: railway transport; measurement technology. ^ SUBSTANCE: invention can be used for measuring linear dimensions of wheelsets of rail and other vehicles. Proposed device for measuring linear dimensions of wheelset 1 has base 2 with crossmember 4 installed on posts 3 on which measuring blocks 5, 6 are installed for longitudinal travel. Each block 5, 6 is connected through transverse travel mechanism 7 with corresponding meter 8, 9. Locating unit 10 with pushers is installed on posts 3. Pushers 11 are installed for longitudinal travel and engagement with wheelset 1 and they are furnished with control pickups 12 installed in locating unit 10. Additional meters 13 are introduced into device, each being connected additionally to corresponding block 6 through transverse travel mechanism 7, and turning and locking mechanisms 14 arranged in locating unit 10. Pushers 11 are installed for engagement with center holes 15 of wheelset 1 to hold it in measuring position. ^ EFFECT: enlarged functional capabilities, simplified process of measurement. ^ 1 dwg
