Zusammenfassung:	FIELD: polymer materials. ^ SUBSTANCE: invention relates to elastomer composition used in manufacture of tires, e.g. for manufacture of tracks and side strips, including at least one filler, sulfur vulcanization group, and at least one terpolymer of C3-C4 derived units, -isoolefin derived units, C4-C14-multiolefin and p-alkylstyrene derived units, and also to a method of preparing such composition. The latter includes combining, in a diluent, monomers in presence of Lewis acid and at least one initiator to form above-indicated terpolymer, which is then combined with vulcanization group consisting of metal oxide, elementary sulfur, and optionally sulfur-based accelerator, and with filler. ^ EFFECT: improved wear resistance values, adhesion to wet and snow-covered pavements, and elasticity. ^ 36 cl, 1 dwg, 14 tbl
