Zusammenfassung:	FIELD: gas processing industry. ^ SUBSTANCE: invention relates to method of preparing odorants for natural gas from hydrocarbons and can be used for odorization of household- and industry-destination natural and liquefied gases. Method according to invention comprises extraction of mercaptans from hydrocarbons with aqueous alkali solution, desorption of mercaptans through boiling of alkali mercaptide solution, condensation of vapor-gas mixture to isolate odorant, drying of odorant, and fractionation of dried odorant via two-step rectification followed by condensation of ethylmercaptan-rich odorant. ^ EFFECT: increased concentration of ethylmercaptan in odorant to 93%. ^ 1 dwg, 1 tbl
