DISTANCE MEASURING DEVICE FOR INDIVIDUAL NAVIGATION EQUIPMENT OF FIGHTING MAN

FIELD: instrument engineering, applicable for measurement of distance covered by a moving object, and determination of the co-ordinates on the terrain. ^ SUBSTANCE: the multichannel distance sensor has accelerometric distance sensors that are positioned on the fighting man's footwear, a permanent magnet serves as the measuring element, and sealed-contact reed relays (magnetic contactors), serve as the reference system, time meter (crystal oscillator), information processing and foot movement time data producing unit (covered distance). The sealed control reed relays located on the r.h. and l.h. footwear of the fighting man are included in a bridge circuit for comparison of the distance measured by each sensor. For monitoring of the reverse indications of the accelerometers in the two planes of motion of the fighting man several magnetic contactors may be used in the device. ^ EFFECT: expanded functional potentialities. ^ 5 dwg
