METHOD FOR SURGICAL CORRECTION OF SCOLIOTIC DEFORMATION OF VERTEBRAL COLUMN

FIELD: medicine, traumatology, orthopedics. ^ SUBSTANCE: the present innovation deals with treating scoliotic deformation of vertebral column of different etiology. For correcting scoliotic deformation of vertebral column due to derotation one should form the points of support in area of transition of the bottom of transverse process into the root of a small arch from both sides of every vertebra being the constituent of scoliotic arch. One should fulfill derotation of separate segments alternately in area of cranial and caudal departments of the arch in direction from terminal vertebra towards the top of deformation. Vertebrae should be turned towards the side of correcting pathological vertebral rotation to fix the achieved correction due to a fixing element applied at each vertebra to the rods being curved in accordance to normal sagittal contour of vertebral department under correction that prevents complications associated with deformation progressing. ^ EFFECT: higher efficiency. ^ 1 dwg
