Heating temperature is chosen between 200 and 290 °C, reaction chamber being evacuated in advance. Then oxygen and chlorine are sequentially supplied to reaction chamber in proportion of 1.0 :1.0 - 1.2 : 3.0; process time is chosen between 5 and 10 min. Defective and good fuel elements are sorted out by their color. ^ EFFECT: reduced rejection time. ^ 1 cl
