Zusammenfassung:	FIELD: mechanical engineering. ^ SUBSTANCE: locking device comprises rod, balls, bushing, and spring mounted inside the housing that is set in the housing of the rod heating unit. The spring-loaded bushing has through opening for the rod and ring recess for the balls and pin mounted in the through opening made in the housing. The rod is unmovable and is mounted in the bushing having the mushroom for the clamping device. The bushing is made for permitting lowering down until the top wall of the recess abuts against the rod, which provides the clamping device to cooperate with the mushroom. When the clamping device is detached from the mushroom, the bushing moves upward under the action of the spring until the bottom wall of the recess abuts against the rod. In so doing, the balls enter the ring groove in the housing of the rod heating unit thus providing self-locking. ^ EFFECT: enhanced reliability. ^ 4 cl, 2 dwg
