Zusammenfassung:FIELD: manufacturing processes in machine engineering, namely combination method for diamond -abrasive and finish-strengthening working of blanks of steels and alloys by surface plastic deforming. ^ SUBSTANCE: method comprises steps of diamond-abrasive working and simultaneous surface plastic deforming of blank by means of combination tool. The last is in the form of mandrel in which diamond-abrasive wheel and deforming members in the form of turns of coiled to ring steel coil cylindrical spring of round cross section wire are mounted along the same axis. Said spring is mounted at tightness on peripheral surface of sectors. Turns of spring are arranged and secured to grooves whose size and shape are reciprocal to those of spring turns. Said sectors are secured to mandrel according to condition of arranging outer surfaces of deforming members in the same tangent plane with working cutting peripheral surface of diamond-abrasive wheel. Adjustment of combination tool is realized by radial motion of sectors. ^ EFFECT: enlarged manufacturing possibilities, enhanced efficiency of method, improved hardness of worked surface, lowered cost price of strengthening process with use of diamond-abrasive wheel. ^ 5 dwg, 1 ex
