FIELD: electrical engineering; lead-acid battery manufacture. ^ SUBSTANCE: proposed current lead for lead-acid battery electrode characterized in enhanced performance characteristics and uniformity of current and voltage distribution through electrode height that affords high reliability and corrosion resistance of electrode at high specific power is essentially wire net made of permanent-section horizontal and vertical wires disposed within permanent-section frame. Top part of frame has lug that functions to assemble electrodes into block; number of vertical wires is greater by 1.6 - 2.4 times than that of horizontal wires.
