Zusammenfassung:FIELD: pipeline engineering. ^ SUBSTANCE: compensating device comprises two pipes interconnected through the telescopic joint. Each pipe has ball joint at its end. The housings of the telescopic and ball joints receive sealing units made of metallic rings. At least one ring made of thermally expanded graphite is interposed between the metallic rings. The ball and telescopic joints are provided with the mechanism for compressing the rings of the sealing units in the axial direction. The housing of each of the joints additionally receive the adjusting rings. The metallic rings of each sealing unit are mounted for permitting movement in the axial direction and are made of a material whose linear thermal expansion coefficient exceeds that of the material of the pipe and housings of the ball and telescopic joints. The metallic ring of the sealing unit of one of the ball joints that is in a contact with the mechanism for compressing rings is sectional. ^ EFFECT: prolonged service life. ^ 1 dwg
