Zusammenfassung:FIELD: tube production, namely process for making seamless hot rolled boiler tubes of large and mean diameters from continuously cast billets, possibly in plant with pilger mill. ^ SUBSTANCE: method comprises steps of heating billet, piercing it in helical rolling mill, expanding sleeve in pilger mill. Sleeves are cooled till temperature 960 - 1050°C before pilger mill and then they are rolled at total elongation degree >=8. ^ EFFECT: manufacture of tubes with structure and mechanical properties suitable for boiler tubes. ^ 1 tbl
