Beschreibung
Zusammenfassung:FIELD: metallurgy of heavy non-ferrous metals; cleaning solutions from admixtures in production of cobalt. ^ SUBSTANCE: proposed method of oxidizing cleaning of sulfate-chloride iron-cobalt-nickel solutions from iron includes re-crystallization and four-stage neutralization by sodium carbonate solution; at re-crystallization stage, basic iron-sodium sulfate is introduced as "seed" at rate of 5-6 kg/m3; at the following neutralization stages, sodium carbonate solution is used at concentration of 210-240 kg/m3; this solution is fed to reactor by means of vapor injector. ^ EFFECT: reduced specific consumption of water per ton of finished cobalt product; increased extraction of nickel and cobalt into commercial cobalt product. ^ 1 tbl, 11 ex
